I build websites for local service businesses that sell high-ticket jobs: pool renovation, roofing, HVAC, remodeling. When a customer is about to spend $15,000 on their home they research first, and increasingly they ask an assistant. The answer names a handful, three in the first line and maybe six in a table, and whoever isn't in it doesn't exist. My job is to make you one of them.

High-ticket trades where the buyer researches first.
If the job is worth thousands and your customer reads for weeks before calling, an AI answer that names a handful of companies, three in its first line, decides whether you're in the running. Pick your trade.
You don't have a marketing problem. You have a visibility problem, in two places at once.
Most pool renovation companies are set up to be found in one of those places, if either. That's the actual gap between a full schedule and a quiet phone.
Traditional search
Google still sends the most traffic in this category. But a slow, generic site with thin content quietly loses this fight to whichever competitor took search structure seriously first.
AI answer engines
ChatGPT, Gemini and Google's AI answers increasingly tell people who to call before they ever see a list of websites. If your content isn't structured to be cited, you're invisible here, no matter how good your Google ranking is.
What a TheyName build looks like, trade by trade.
Concept builds for the trades I serve, the same structure every client site gets. As founding-client sites go live, they replace these.
Hover or tap a card
Three founding clients get the build at half price. Here's why.
TheyName is new, which means no inflated stats and no recycled logos on this page. The first three clients are how that changes: a lower price and direct founder attention, in exchange for a result we agree on up front and publish here with your name on it. Three, not thirty, because I'd rather over-deliver on a few than spread thin across many.
3 of 3 founding slots open
Founding build
$6,000–$12,000 standard
$3,500–$6,000
- Direct founder attention on your build, not a rotating team.
- The retainer locked at the founding rate for twelve months.
- A metric we agree on before the build, tracked from day one.
- Your result published here, with your name on it: the first real case study, not a placeholder.
One system, four moves. Same order, every time.
Named because it's repeatable, not because it needs a diagram to sound impressive.
Position
Sharpen the offer before a single pixel gets designed.
Build
A site engineered around one job: getting the call booked.
Get Found
Structured for Google and built to be cited by AI answers.
Prove It
Every result gets measured, then published back to the site.
Every engagement comes with the same three promises.
You own everything, always
Domain, code, content, analytics, hosting. All in your name from day one, not mine. If we ever stop working together you keep the whole site, working, with the logins already yours. Nothing to fight for and nothing to buy back.
No long contracts, ever
The retainer is month-to-month from the first month. Thirty days' notice, no exit fees, no minimum term, no fine print designed to make leaving hard. If it stops being worth it, you should be able to stop.
You get an answer, not a ticket
One person builds your site and one person answers when you need something changed. The same person. Small changes inside two business days, and you'll always know where a job stands.
Real numbers. Published here, not behind a form.
If I can't tell you roughly what this costs before a call, I haven't earned the call.

Charlie Kaylor
Founder, TheyName · UK-based
I started TheyName on one belief: most pool renovation companies don't have a marketing problem. They have a website that undersells the work, and is invisible to how people (and increasingly, AI) actually search for a contractor now.
Before this I was a software developer at GOSS Interactive in Plymouth for just over two years, until September 2022. GOSS builds the platform UK councils run their websites and online forms on, and I worked across all of it: front end, back end and database. Most of my time went on making the CMS faster, reworking and modernising older parts of the codebase, and the deployments, bug-fixing and Jira queue that come with software real organisations depend on.
What I publish instead of a stock-photo blog.
The same comparison-style content I build for clients, written about my own category first.
When someone in your area asks AI who to call, is it you?
I run your trade and service area through ChatGPT, Claude, Perplexity and Google's AI answers, asking the buying questions your customers actually ask, repeatedly. Then I show you which pool companies get recommended, how often, and exactly why you're being skipped. $499, delivered in two days, and credited in full against whatever we build.
$499, credited in full against whatever we build. If it doesn't name at least three specific things you can fix, you don't pay.
